December 21 Event: Talking to Children about Race

Dear Families and Community,

I’m excited to share that We Stories, a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting conversations about race and racism through children’s literature, is hosting Dr. Ali Michael at Steger Sixth Grade Center on December 21 at 7:00 p.m.  The event is free to all who attend.

Dr. Michael, co-founder and director of the Race Institute for K-12 Educators, and the author of Raising Race Questions: Whiteness, Inquiry and Education, is recognized as a leader in how parents and educators should engage white children with issues of race.

If you plan to attend, please click here to RSVP.

Hope to see you there!
